Where Is Your Home?

He must have rejoiced—
your cry was so beautiful.
The first cry of a newborn, like fire,
broke the silence,
found its meaning.
As your voice climbed upward,
you saw more people
from all corners of the earth.
That child sitting by the sea—
such a beautiful shoreline.
Where is your home?
What place became your home?
The children of this soil,
the fathers and mothers of this soil,
the ancestors of this soil—
what inspires you?
O child of this native land,
on earth layered with thousands of years of history,
in the footprints of the Indigenous and voyageurs,
in the ever-rustling wind of maple leaves—
we see how you rise.
Where is your home?
True North,
beneath the sky of love.
Child, may your blessings and praise
roll like the surging sea,
embracing the vast North.

他必定满心欢喜——
那声啼哭如此动人。
新生儿的第一嗓，像火焰，
打破寂静，
找到了它的意义。
当你的声音向上攀升，
你看见更多人，
来自四面八方。
那个坐在海边的孩子——
海岸线美得悠长。
家在何方？
何处成了你的故乡？
这土地孕育的儿女，
这土地滋养的父母，
这土地长眠的祖先——
是什么让你心怀热望？
啊，故土的孩子，
在沉积千年历史的大地上，
在原住民与拓荒者的足迹旁，
在枫叶永不停歇的沙沙声里——
我们看见你，如何挺立生长。
家在何方？
在正北方，
在爱的穹苍之下。
孩子啊，愿你的祝福与颂扬，
如海潮奔涌，浩荡回响，
怀抱整个北方。
