Zhao Xintong completed China's arrival as a snooker powerhouse by becoming its first winner of the World Championship in England late on Monday.

Little is known about his girlfriend, reportedly called Yiyi, but she was all smiles as her boyfriend celebrated the biggest triumph of his career.  And when they posed with the trophy, she appeared to hold back tears in the emotion of her man's victory.

And then she showed her kind heart with a lovely moment. Yiyi spotted a piece of red confetti that had landed in Xintong's hair without him realizing. So as she made way for him to have more photos, Yiyi delicately plucked the rogue confetti out.
